ViscoStat hemostatic is a hemostatic agent equivalent to 20% ferric sulfate, with inert binding agents in a viscous aqueous solution. It contains patented fumed silica that limits acidic activity and keeps it gentle to soft and hard tissues. This hemostatic solution is suitable for stopping superficial capillary bleeding in various dental and surgical procedures, including fixed prosthetics, restorative–operative, periodontal therapy, and more. ViscoStat hemostatic is also recommended for retrofills, impacted canines, gingivectomy, and as a “fixative” in pulpotomy.

Tip: Prevent leakage caused by sulcular fluid contamination during bonding. Soak Ultrapak™ knitted cord in hemostatic and isolate the tissues, then follow with a strong air/water spray. Prevents contamination by sulcular fluids for ideal bonding. Stops bleeding in seconds and shortens working time. Provides ideal pre-impression preparation and helps avoid multiple impression takes. Ideal for vital pulpotomies.

Note: Do not use epinephrine preparations with ferric sulfate products (ViscoStat, Astringedent), or a blue/black precipitate will form.
