UltraCal XS calcium hydroxide paste is a uniquely formulated, high pH (12,5) paste that is both aqueous and radiopaque. It is recommended to use the large 29 ga NaviTip for a predictable flow that enables direct docking. UltraCal XS paste can be completely removed from the canal using Ultradent Citric Acid and a NaviTip™ FX™. The double session protocol, in which an intracanal spraying with calcium hydroxide was applied between sessions, resulted in better microbiological condition of the root canal system compared to a single session protocol.
