A 17% solution of EDTA is designed to facilitate the use of endodontic instruments in root canal treatments, improve adhesion of filling materials, and aid in the opening of obstructed root canals.

An irrigation agent for chelation and smear layer removal from root canal walls. Specifically formulated to assist endodontic instruments in negotiating root canals more easily and to minimize file fractures. EDTA forms a water-soluble chelate complex, decalcifies substances, and dissolves smear layers, thereby enhancing the adhesion of filling materials. EDTA also aids in enlarging and shaping the canal for final obturation.
