Icon is a micro-invasive innovative caries treatment product for early caries on smooth and proximal surfaces. Icon Caries Infiltrant – Vestibular is developed especially for application on smooth surfaces.

Icon is offered in two variants: Icon Caries Infiltrant – Proximal, developed especially for tissue-preserving treatment of early interproximal caries; and Icon Caries Infiltrant – Vestibular for smooth surfaces. Particularly suitable for white spots after bracket removal in orthodontic patients. Besides treating white spots in a short time (1–2 months), after bracket removal etching twice is recommended. If a white spot is still visible after Icon-Dry, a third etching step is recommended.
Indications
- Treatment of early enamel caries (up to D1 depth) in proximal areas and on smooth surfaces
Contraindications
- Do not use for deeper lesions (D2–D3) or cases with cavitation in enamel
- Use only Icon-Etch on enamel surfaces
- Do not use on exposed dentin or tooth cementum — failure to follow these instructions may cause patient pain
- Not suitable for developmental enamel defects or enamel defects due to fluorosis, hypoplasia, abrasion, or trauma
